Jonathan’s Spoons
Jonathan’s Spoons began with a forgotten lunch spoon and a quick bit of improvisation. While apprenticing with a furniture maker, artist and designer Jonathan Simons carved his first wooden spoon from scrap wood—merging form, function, and a passion for beautiful design. That moment sparked a lifelong dedication to making wooden utensils by hand.
Back in his home state of Pennsylvania, Jonathan began crafting and selling his uniquely balanced and thoughtfully shaped spoons. Originally made from woods like lilac, plum, and honeysuckle, his utensils are now carved from high-quality cherry wood—prized for its strength, smooth texture, and rich natural color.
Each piece in Jonathan’s Spoons collection is designed with both hand and purpose in mind. Over time, the line has grown to include spatulas, spaghetti forks, tongs, spreaders, and more—all made with a focus on comfort, utility, and timeless style. Some pieces feature a dramatic flame-blackened finish, adding a rustic and artistic touch.
Jonathan’s Spoons celebrates craftsmanship, everyday beauty, and the joy of a well-made tool.
